Software Engineer (System Engineer)

Role Description

We are searching for a talented Systems Engineer to develop, maintain and support BioTuring’s technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components for small to large-sized projects. 

Key Responsibilities

• Translate user needs and customer requirements into product and systems requirements and specifications, ensuring optimal implementation into product design.
• Collaborate with external clients and internal teams in Data Science, Software Engineer, Product management and other departments to gather and prioritize software requirements and drive software release activities.
• Maintain software and systems roadmaps that balance maintenance and routine upgrades, new features, system architecture considerations, and regulatory requirements.
• Support problem solving, root cause analysis, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements. 
• Monitor and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved.
• Manage and monitor infrastructure costs within a defined budget.
• Develop and document work under design control and quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure that all infrastructure follows security best practices and aligns with company policies and industry standards

Requirements

• Background in Computer Science/IT, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in platform engineering or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with Docker, linux, k8s.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus).
• Scripting or coding ability is a bonus (Python, Go, or Shell).
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate well in English.
