BIO Core Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our annual program trains you to design and operate the Cloud\/HPC infrastructure behind frontier AI in biology \u2013 setting the technical direction for how BioTuring brings massive computation to cure diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this critical role, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the robust systems and infrastructure that power our data intensive bioinformatics platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate operations, infrastructure tasks, and client deployments using Infrastructure as Code mindset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability across Linux, VM and containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support, troubleshoot, and manage OpenStack-based private cloud infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Operate external storage (NAS\/SAN) and high performance networking such as Ceph.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Employ security best practices for securing and hardening system services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Implement network topology, redundancy and high availability for production systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Provision hardware and infrastructure following the company’s evolution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support and diagnose bare-metal server and networking issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Networking fundamentals (TCP\/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, infiniband).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Comfortable on the command line, good system administration (processes, filesystems, permissions).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Excellent knowledge in Linux and computer architecture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Used Docker or a VM at least once \u2014 curious about what runs underneath.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Minimum basic knowledge of SSH keys, firewalls.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Python or Bash with an automation mindset.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Background in either Computer Science\/System Engineer\/Infrastructure Engineer\/Electrical Engineer or related field.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Open to Students, Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, and PhD or self-taught engineers<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Open to local and expat (work permit sponsorship + relocation assistance provided).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Bonus if you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • OpenStack, Ceph, Ansible exposure.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
